Welcome to Fantastic Walls!

Fantastic Walls is a public art initiative dedicated to creating a world-class outdoor art gallery of sufficient stature to attract national attention and boost tourism, increasing economic opportunities and quality of life for local residents and businesses in the Brazos Valley, Texas.

Formerly known as Bryan Art Path, the name was changed to better reflect the growing scope of the project, from the original 4.5 mile corridor of murals stretching from Northgate into downtown Bryan, TX, to a broader series of high quality public art installations located throughout Aggieland.

Our most recent mural was painted by German artist Saneks in partnership with Bryan-College Station Sister Cities Association. Read more HERE

This fall we have acclaimed artist Greg Gossel painting a nano chemistry-themed mural for the National Science Foundation, and over the next 12 months are planning additional murals featuring high profile artists from France, Dallas and Pasadena – stay tuned!

The first mural in the series features acclaimed Austin-based artist Phoebe Joynt and was completed in October 2024. (Mural photos: Alex Beckman for Destination Bryan).

ABOUT FANTASTIC WALLS

Following decades of experience creating and documenting street art across Europe and North America the Fantastic Walls concept was conceived by Beast Syndicate (BEAST), an independent design studio located in historic downtown Bryan, TX. Seeing first-hand how public art had positively impact neighborhoods across America, BEAST wanted to bring that same creative energy and transformative rejuvenation to the Brazos Valley.

Currently 25+ strategically located mural sites have been identified (and relationships cultivated with applicable property owners), to be added piecemeal as artists and funds become available.

Through their roster of national and internationally-renowned artists Fantastic Walls has a master strategy for developing a truly world-class open air gallery featuring a wide range of styles and subject matter.

The prospective centerpiece of Fantastic Walls is a world-class 4-sided XL mural on the Frontier building (and/or the Palace theater), with other art locations throughout downtown and spreading along the railroad, S Main St. and S College Avenue into College Station and across Aggieland.

A well-curated project of this scope and quality has the power to elevate the importance of art in the community, inspiring creativity across all art forms and creative thinking among local entrepreneurs and business leaders. In addition, it offers a highly visible, tangible expression of purpose and care for the community.

It is evident that since our first mural in 2024 local residents and businesses have enjoyed increased civic pride and wellbeing. Fantastic Walls is committed to continuing to brighten the aesthetic landscape of the region, while also inspiring active and would-be local artists and providing a unique visual experience for art lovers near and far.
